Former Celtic transfer chief Mark Lawwell has returned to football after landing a role as a senior scout at Chelsea. The 42-year-old joined the Premier League club earlier this month to work closely with Alonso at Stamford Bridge.
Lawwell previously spent time at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou, overseeing signings such as Alistair Johnston and Nicolas Kuhn. After resigning following criticism from supporters and spending two years away from the game, he has now taken up his new scouting position in England.
