Scottish League Two club Stirling Albion are the subject of a £1 million takeover bid from a Canadian consortium headed by Eric Perez. Under the proposal submitted to the Stirling Albion Supporters Trust, which presently owns an 83.4 percent stake, the group would acquire 80 percent of the club's shares, transitioning the team back to private ownership.
The Trust would retain a 16.7 percent stake, a board seat, and a golden share safeguarding the club's identity, ground, and heritage. Perez, previously the chairman of Truro City and CEO of Larne, is scheduled to address members of the Supporters Trust on November 27 ahead of a formal vote that same evening.
