MARTIN O'NEILL has spoken for the first time since saying he needed time to reflect on his position as Celtic manager. The 74-year-old admitted it had been a "difficult week" for him and the club after losing back-to-back Old Firm…

Martin O'Neill has confirmed he will stay on as Celtic manager following a period of reflection. Speaking to Celtic TV, the 74-year-old manager stated that he is determined to remain in charge, lead the team, and pursue the Scottish Premiership title. His remarks brought an end to intense speculation regarding his future after recent setbacks.
Speculation mounted following consecutive Old Firm losses to Rangers, including a 3-0 Premier Sports Cup defeat at Ibrox on September 13 and a 1-0 league defeat at home. Despite the losses, Celtic chief Michael Nicholson backed O'Neill in the club's annual report, and O'Neill noted that Celtic remains two points clear at the top of the Premiership.
