Derek Ferguson has reacted on the Open Goal podcast after his son, Lewis Ferguson, scolded him for fueling speculation regarding a potential transfer to Rangers. Lewis, who plays as a midfielder for Bologna, stated that his father's constant comments about a move to his boyhood club have not helped, confirming that discussions never moved beyond slight interest.
Derek previously claimed his son had agreed to personal terms at Ibrox earlier in the summer, which prompted Lewis to FaceTime him to tell him off. Mark Smith of Ibrox News notes that any future permanent transfer for the midfielder would likely command a club-record fee for Rangers.
