On the back of a lengthy break due to an elongated international window, Rangers boss Derek McInnes insisted

Rangers maintained their winning momentum following a three-week international break by defeating Kilmarnock 3-1 at Ibrox to move top of the Scottish Premiership. Derek McInnes' side secured a commanding 3-0 lead by halftime courtesy of a brace from Ryan Naderi and a deflected finish from Kevin Kelsy, marking their seventh consecutive victory across all competitions.
Kilmarnock improved significantly after the interval as Rangers showed complacency. Neil McCann's side forced a fine save from Ivor Pandur and had a goal ruled out before substitute Nicky Clescenco eventually scored a late consolation goal.
