Rangers are prepared to recall midfielder Connor Barron from his loan spell at Middlesbrough in January if his playing situation does not improve. The 24-year-old departed Ibrox on a late loan deal on September 1 after falling out of manager Derek McInnes' plans, but he has yet to make his debut or break into Kim Hellberg's squad at the Riverside Stadium.
According to a report from the Sun on Sunday on October 4, Barron has an opportunity to build fitness over the international break. Rangers are monitoring his progress closely, aiming to preserve his transfer market value ahead of a potential permanent sale, as Barron reportedly remains unlikely to have a long-term future at Ibrox.
