View: Ex-Rangers talent would’ve written Ibrox success tale if his belief was supressed

Former Rangers striker Robbie Ure has reflected on his decision to leave his boyhood club in the summer of 2023. Speaking to BBC Sport Scotland, the 22-year-old explained that he felt he was not good enough for Rangers at age 18 and required an intermediate step in his career after making only three senior appearances for the Scottish Premiership side.

Following a brief stint with Anderlecht, Ure scored 31 goals in 50 matches for Swedish club Sirius. His strong performances earned him a permanent transfer to Spanish side Sevilla for an initial fee reported by BBC Sport to be £5.5 million.
