Thelin is among the leading candidates to become Sheffield Wednesday’s new manager, according to a new report.
Former Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has emerged as a leading candidate to take over at Sheffield Wednesday, according to a report from the Daily Record. The 48-year-old Swedish tactician has been out of work since being dismissed by Aberdeen in January and is reportedly a frontrunner to succeed Henrik Peterson at Hillsborough.
Thelin previously guided Aberdeen to Scottish Cup glory, ending the club's 35-year wait for the trophy after arriving from Elfsborg in summer 2024. Sheffield Wednesday, currently competing in League One under interim manager Matt Hamshaw, are looking for a permanent boss to lead their push for Championship promotion.
