Rangers captain Lawrence Shankland aims to be back playing "well before" the season run-in.

Rangers captain Lawrence Shankland has confirmed that his recovery from hamstring surgery is progressing well. The 31-year-old striker sustained a torn hamstring that has ruled him out of Rangers' last three matches, with projections pointing toward a return to action in early 2027.
Shankland stated that his hamstring is healing properly after consulting a specialist, expressing hope that he will return by January well before the season run-in. While he acknowledged the mental challenges of gym rehabilitation, he noted that Rangers' current six-match winning streak in all competitions has made his absence easier to endure.
