The Chelsea loanee has been on the fringes of the squad since signing for the Scottish champions

Celtic manager O'Neill praised Chelsea loanee Shim Mheuka, suggesting the 18-year-old forward could earn an opportunity to play against Motherwell at Fir Park. With striker Kasper Hogh enduring a seven-game goal drought, Mheuka impressed during the international window by scoring twice for England Under-20s.
O'Neill also provided squad updates, noting that £3.4 million summer signing Joel van den Berg is recovering well from an ankle knock and will soon return to training. Additionally, Jota could rejoin the squad following a long-term cruciate ligament injury, while Alistair Johnston remains sidelined and Cameron Carter-Vickers is doubtful.
