Pundit Kris Boyd criticized Hearts for showing a lack of respect after Celtic secured a dominant 7-1 victory at Parkhead. Boyd argued that Wouter Vrancken's side displayed naive, kamikaze defending by attempting to go toe-to-toe with Celtic instead of respecting their opponents. He maintained that Celtic showed why they remain the team to beat in the Scottish Premiership.
Martin O'Neill refreshed Celtic's attack by benching Kasper Hogh and fielding Camilo Duran alongside Callum Osmand and Haissem Hassan. The Hoops led 5-1 by halftime, while Laurent Mendy scored a lone screamer for Hearts. Former Celtic captain Scott Brown also praised the ruthless pace of O'Neill's revamped front line.
