Scotland defender Stephen Welsh stated that fans should be encouraged following the team's 0-0 draw against Slovenia in Ljubljana. The UEFA Nations League fixture marked Sebastien Pocognoli's debut as Scotland manager. Welsh started in a back three alongside Scott McKenna and Jack Hendry, with goalkeeper Angus Gunn helping secure the away clean sheet.
