Former Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda scored his first goal for Ipswich Town to equalize against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The Japanese forward utilized his high press against defender Marc Guehi before finishing past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in a one-on-one situation.
The goal marks Maeda's first since completing a summer transfer from Celtic to Ipswich in July 2026. During his final full Scottish Premiership campaign in Glasgow, Maeda scored 14 goals in 36 league appearances under manager Martin O'Neill.
