Bologna have confirmed that right-back Emil Holm faces an estimated four to six months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery for a severe hamstring injury. The Swedish international suffered the damaged tendon in his right thigh while playing for Sweden against Romania on September 25, 2026.
The operation was conducted in Finland by Professor Lasse Lempainen alongside Bologna club doctor Dr. Luca Bini. Following the extended absence of the former Juventus loanee, Bologna have brought in former Italy international Matteo Darmian on trial with hopes of securing a permanent deal.
