AC Milan look to protect a seven-match unbeaten derby run against Inter Milan, though recent domestic home struggles pose a threat. The Rossoneri have dropped four of their past eight Serie A matches at San Siro and conceded six goals across their last two home games. Owner Gerry Cardinale highlighted the match's significance following a disappointing performance against Bologna.
Historically, AC Milan have won their last two derbies and seek three straight against Inter for the first time since 2004. Inter arrive having scored in 19 consecutive Serie A matches, spearheaded by Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martínez. Meanwhile, Milan forward Alphadjo Cisse enters the clash having already netted four league goals this campaign.
