Inter coach Chivu: ‘Selfishness isn’t part of Pio Esposito’s vocabulary’

Inter manager Cristian Chivu praised young forward Pio Esposito's selflessness and work rate following Inter's 3-0 victory over Parma. Esposito won a penalty converted by Hakan Calhanoglu and contributed to Marcus Thuram's goal as the Nerazzurri wrapped up the win within the opening 31 minutes. The result moved Inter three points clear at the top of the Serie A standings ahead of Sunday's fixtures.

Chivu also noted that Djed Spence made his debut with a 25-minute appearance following a month-long injury layoff. The manager confirmed Calhanoglu was fine despite icing after being substituted and commended Carlos Augusto and Federico Dimarco for their tactical adaptability. Chivu also shared sympathy for dismissed Parma coach Carlos Cuesta while backing his replacement, Alberto Gilardino.
