Lazio Coach Gattuso Lauds ‘Great’ Gasperini & ‘Genius’ Lotito

Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso spoke highly of Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini and Lazio president Claudio Lotito during an appearance at a sports festival in Trento. Gattuso called Gasperini the most influential Italian tactician since Arrigo Sacchi and revealed their strong personal bond. He also pushed back against rumors of frequent conflict with Lotito, describing the club president as an intelligent genius with whom he maintains an honest and open dialogue.

Despite Lazio sitting joint-top of Serie A with Roma and Inter Milan, Gattuso urged his team to avoid premature Derby della Capitale discussions and focus on their upcoming clash against Monza. Gattuso also expressed gratitude toward Lazio for offering him a fresh managerial opportunity following a painful exit from the Italian national team.
