Lazio Increasingly Confident About Stadio Flaminio After Positive Talks

Lazio are increasingly optimistic about securing approval to renovate the Stadio Flaminio following recent positive talks with Italian authorities. The club has been seeking to move away from sharing the municipality-owned Stadio Olimpico with cross-city rivals Roma, opting to refurbish the historic and currently defunct venue instead of constructing a new arena from scratch.

To secure the final green light, Lazio are expected to modify their plans to protect Pier Luigi Nervi’s original design, including the distinctive canopy, without blocking nearby landmarks. Club president Claudio Lotito previously stated the objective is to have the renovated stadium ready by late 2030 or early 2031.
