Official: Patric Ends 11-Year Lazio Spell, Joins Al-Ittifaq

Lazio has officially confirmed the permanent transfer of defender Patric to UAE second division side Al-Ittifaq on Monday's transfer deadline day. The Spanish center-back departs Rome after an 11-year spell that began in 2015, during which he registered 244 appearances across all competitions for the Biancocelesti.

Patric was left off Lazio's Serie A squad list by manager Gennaro Gattuso following a pre-season injury and the signing of defender Diogo Leite. Rather than sitting out the final year of his contract, Patric agreed to join the Dubai-based club managed by Paolo Montero, where he joins fellow former Serie A players Mario Balotelli and Douglas Costa.
