Referee Giuseppe Collu has been appointed to officiate Lazio's upcoming Serie A match against Monza at the Stadio Olimpico. The fixture marks the first time Lazio will be officiated by Collu since a controversial clash against AC Milan last season. Gennaro Gattuso's side enters the Sunday contest placed third in the league table.
Collu previously sparked controversy in November 2025 after denying Lazio a late penalty against Milan following an on-field VAR review. Despite Strahinja Pavlovic handling the ball, Collu ruled that Adam Marusic committed a prior foul. AC Milan won that match 1-0 via a solitary Rafael Leao strike.
