Shevchenko on Ancelotti’s Milan: ‘You could make two sides and play a final’

Marking his 50th birthday, Andriy Shevchenko reflected on his historic spell at AC Milan under manager Carlo Ancelotti. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the Ukrainian forward praised the extraordinary depth of that squad, joking that Ancelotti had such quality that he could have fielded two separate teams capable of contesting a major final.

Shevchenko discussed the intense culture shaped early on by Valeriy Lobanovskyi at Dynamo Kyiv and Alberto Zaccheroni at Milan. Over two spells at San Siro, Shevchenko scored 175 goals in 322 matches, capturing the 2003 Champions League, a Serie A title, and the 2004 Ballon d'Or.
