Stroppa on Venezia future: ‘You shouldn’t ask me’ as Zanetti and Nicola circle

Venezia head coach Giovanni Stroppa faces an uncertain future following a 3-1 defeat to Atalanta, leaving the team with zero points after six Serie A matches. Addressing questions regarding the club's trust in him, Stroppa stated that questions about his position should not be directed to him, while taking full responsibility for recent results. Reports suggest Venezia may give him one final match against Napoli before considering a managerial change.

Potential replacements Paolo Zanetti and Davide Nicola have reportedly emerged as candidates if the club decides to part ways with Stroppa. Zanetti previously guided Venezia to Serie A promotion in 2021, and his assistant was reportedly seen attending the match in Bergamo. Despite Venezia's second-half efforts against Atalanta, which included hitting the woodwork twice, pressure remains high as the club evaluates its options.
