Luka Modric expressed frustration following AC Milan's 4-2 defeat to Bologna, calling the loss deserved after a second-half collapse. Milan initially came from behind to lead in the first half courtesy of a brace from Alphadjo Cisse. However, Bologna responded with three second-half goals, spearheaded by a Samuel Mbangula hat-trick, handing Milan their first league defeat of the season.
Speaking to Sky after replacing the injured Fikayo Tomori at halftime, Modric insisted that injuries cannot be used as an excuse. He urged his teammates to stay united and respond positively in their upcoming matches against rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina and Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
