Chisora vs Gassiev: Brit blasts Joshua vs Fury WBA title decision

Derek Chisora has criticized the WBA for putting its super heavyweight title on the line for the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury bout, while also calling for a fight against WBA regular champion Murat Gassiev. Speaking at an IBA press conference in Istanbul, the 42-year-old veteran stated that having multiple belts damages the sport and argued that Gassiev is the rightful champion.

Chisora aims to stage the bout against Gassiev in either London or Manchester in December, potentially contesting both the IBA and WBA regular belts. Despite previously hinting at retirement following a loss to Deontay Wilder in April, Chisora has reversed course, with IBA President Umar Kremlev looking to host the event in England.
