Christian Mbilli vs Canelo: Teddy Atlas breaks it down

Trainer and commentator Teddy Atlas analyzed the October 31 super middleweight championship bout between Christian Mbilli and Canelo Alvarez at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Mbilli will defend his WBC super middleweight title against Alvarez on the DAZN pay-per-view card. Atlas stated that Alvarez must hurt Mbilli early and likely needs a knockout, noting that Alvarez cannot outwork Mbilli and could look older if the bout drags on.

Big Fight Weekend writer Raymond Mendoza agreed with Atlas's assessment, noting that Alvarez must counter Mbilli's pressure with uppercuts and body punches. Despite acknowledging the threat posed by Mbilli, the outlet predicted Alvarez to win by decision. Alvarez enters the bout following a unanimous decision loss to Terence Crawford, while Mbilli recently fought to a split draw with Lester Martinez.
