Oleksandr Usyk has backed Shakur Stevenson to defeat Devin Haney as negotiations continue for a potential super fight between the two champions. Speaking to Fighthype, the heavyweight champion explained that he believes Stevenson possesses the necessary tools to overcome his naturally larger opponent.
The potential bout is reportedly being targeted for November 28 in Atlanta, Georgia, at a proposed 145-pound catchweight without a rehydration clause. Stevenson would enter after moving up from super-lightweight, while Haney has already acclimated to the welterweight division.
