IBF welterweight champion Liam Paro has targeted a world title unification bout with WBC champion Ryan Garcia for early 2027. Garcia previously called out WBA champion Teofimo Lopez after stopping Conor Benn in two rounds, but the WBA ordered Lopez to face mandatory challenger Jack Catterall, potentially delaying their matchup.

Paro plans to make a title defense in late November or early December against a top-15 opponent, with Paddy Donovan expected to be mandated. The Australian fighter stated he is willing to host Garcia in Australia or travel to Las Vegas for the unification fight.
