Terence Crawford Underestimates Christian Mbilli’s Threat To Canelo

Boxing News 24 argues that Terence Crawford has underestimated the threat Christian Mbilli poses to Canelo Alvarez. While Crawford described Mbilli as "tailor-made" for Alvarez during an interview with TNT Sports, the outlet suggests Mbilli's relentless pressure and high punch volume could severely test Alvarez, who increasingly relies on fighting in short spurts and resting between attacks.

The article notes that former champions Shawn Porter and Tim Bradley have predicted a stoppage win for Alvarez, despite the Mexican star not scoring a knockout since November 2021 against Caleb Plant. Boxing News 24 contends that Crawford may be motivated to protect the prestige of his own victory over Alvarez by downplaying Mbilli's chances.
