Abhishek Sharma’s father spotted in SRH jersey amid franchise exit rumours

Abhishek Sharma's father and coach, Raj Kumar Sharma, gave a media interview wearing a Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey on October 3. The appearance drew attention amid circulating reports that Abhishek is seeking a release from SRH ahead of IPL 2027 due to captaincy ambitions, with Pat Cummins potentially unavailable and Ishan Kishan under consideration for the role.

SRH CEO K Shanmugam has denied the exit rumors, calling them not true. While Abhishek Sharma has been linked through informal talks to Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals, no official transfer request has been confirmed.
