India head coach Gautam Gambhir took to X to celebrate the team's five-match T20I series victory over New Zealand, despite a seven-wicket defeat in the final match at Seddon Park.
India head coach Gautam Gambhir praised team unity on social media after India secured a 3-2 T20I series victory over New Zealand. Despite suffering a seven-wicket loss in the final match at Seddon Park in Hamilton on November 1, 2026, Gambhir posted a message on X stating: 'Built as a team. Won as a team. Always for India.'
India had already established an unassailable lead by winning the first three games before New Zealand claimed the final two matches. In the fifth T20I, New Zealand chased down 192 in 18 overs behind Tim Seifert's 93 and Glenn Phillips's unbeaten 65, which marked Phillips's fourth half-century of the five-match series.
