Auqib Nabi has been drafted into India's squad for the first three ODIs against New Zealand after Prasidh Krishna was ruled out with a left hamstring injury.
Ajinkya Rahane has backed fast bowler Auqib Nabi to excel in India's upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. Nabi was added to the squad for the first three matches after Prasidh Krishna was sidelined with a left hamstring injury. Rahane highlighted that the swing and seam movement available in New Zealand conditions will heavily suit Nabi's bowling style.
Speaking on SonyLIV, Rahane noted that while Krishna's injury was unfortunate, it provides a valuable opportunity for Nabi. After struggling during his international debut, Nabi recently demonstrated improved form by taking six wickets across two innings for India A against New Zealand A in Lincoln.
