The Bangladesh Cricket Board has removed Mohammad Ashraful from his position as batting coach for the men's national team. Mohammad Salahuddin, the board's High Performance coach who previously handled the batting unit, will take over the role on an interim basis while Ashraful is reassigned to an unspecified position within the organization.
Ashraful was initially appointed to the coaching role in November 2025. The coaching change comes ahead of Bangladesh's two-Test series against West Indies starting October 28 in Mirpur, following their defeat to Afghanistan in the UAE ODI tri-series final.
