The England white-ball coach outlines his vision for building the world's strongest cricket team.
Brendon McCullum has stated his goal is to establish England as the world's best white-ball cricket team. Following structural changes in the England setup that shifted his focus exclusively to the shorter formats rather than splitting duties with Test cricket, McCullum highlighted his aim to build a squad that plays with high octane speed, intensity, and robustness.
England's white-ball side displayed positive signs during the 2026 home summer under captain Harry Brook, sweeping Sri Lanka 3-0 in T20Is and winning the ODI series 2-1. England also won all three of their 50-over series in 2026, supported by former batter Kevin Pietersen joining the setup as a mentor.
