James Anderson will have options to extend his legendary playing career after being told he will not be given a new contract by Lancashire.

Multiple County Championship clubs across both divisions are interested in speaking with veteran seamer James Anderson after Lancashire decided not to offer him a new contract. The 44-year-old was told by chief executive Richard Kenyon and director of cricket Paul Farbrace that his 25-year career at Old Trafford has come to an end, despite Anderson's plans to play another season as a free agent.
Anderson, who took 50 wickets in Division Two last season, must now decide whether to retire or sign with another county. Any potential deal is expected to depend on finances, playing role, and logistics, with the possibility of transitioning into a future coaching role.
