Gill’s 223, Rohit’s 101 power India to record 406-run chase against West Indies

India completed a historic run chase against the West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati on Wednesday, successfully chasing 406 to win by eight wickets. Shubman Gill hit an unbeaten 223 off 133 balls, recording the fastest double century in ODI history, while Rohit Sharma added 101 off 75 balls. India finished on 406 for two in 43.3 overs to secure an unassailable 2-0 series lead.

Earlier, West Indies posted their highest-ever ODI total of 405 for seven, powered by centuries from John Campbell, Shai Hope, and Amir Jangoo. India's opening stand of 255 between Gill and Rohit laid the foundation for the second-highest successful chase in men's ODI history. Kuldeep Yadav also reached 200 ODI wickets during the match.
