India defeated the West Indies by 14 runs in the third T20I at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on October 11 to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. After being put in to bat by West Indies captain Shai Hope, India posted a total of 223 runs in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma led the hosts' batting effort by scoring 69 off 30 balls, while Ishan Kishan contributed 37 runs.
In reply, the West Indies were restricted to 209/7 in their 20 overs despite Shimron Hetmyer scoring 43 and Shamar Springer hitting an unbeaten 35 off 11 balls. India bowler Arshdeep Singh earned Player of the Match honors after taking 3/44, while Naman Dhir claimed two wickets. The two sides will meet next in Hyderabad on October 14 for the fourth T20I.
