Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is in the squad but misses out on the playing XI as India field an unchanged side in Ranchi.
Top-order batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was left out of India's playing XI for the second T20I against West Indies in Ranchi on October 9, 2026. India captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed at the toss that the team opted to field an unchanged lineup following their opening victory in Lucknow.
Sooryavanshi was excluded as India retained opening batsmen Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. Meanwhile, West Indies captain Shai Hope chose to field first, making one change to his lineup by bringing in Gudakesh Motie for Matthew Forde.
