The T20 World Cup champions are back on home turf as they prepare to take on New Zealand in Sydney

Australia will host New Zealand in a three-match Women's T20I series at North Sydney Oval starting on October 18, 2026. The trans-Tasman rivals will compete for the Rose Bowl trophy, which will now be contested in bilateral T20I series as well as ODIs. Australia captain Sophie Molineux and Lucy Hamilton return from injury, while Phoebe Litchfield remains under a fitness cloud.
New Zealand enters a new era under captain Melie Kerr and interim coach Dean Brownlie following the international retirements of Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates, and Lea Tahuhu. Off-spinner Eden Carson returns after recovering from elbow surgery to strengthen the squad, while wicketkeeper Izzy Gaze is sidelined following thumb surgery.
