Fifties from Sam Harper, Marcus Harris, Campbell Kellaway and Fergus O'Neill took the Vics to 9-282 at stumps on day one…

Queensland fought back with the ball after Sam Harper guided Victoria to a strong opening stand on day one of their Sheffield Shield clash at the Gabba. Victoria reached 9-282 before bad light forced an early end to play following Queensland's decision to bowl first. Harper scored 63 off 89 deliveries and shared a 102-run opening stand with Marcus Harris, who contributed 56.
The Bulls triggered a middle-order collapse, reducing Victoria from 102-0 to 5-159, led by Cameron Gannon's impressive figures of 5-60. Victoria recovered through Campbell Kellaway's patient 64 and Fergus O'Neill's 52, while captain Will Sutherland finished unbeaten on 22 at stumps.
