The Story in 60 Seconds

South Africa all-rounder Marco Jansen has reached the No. 1 ranking for both Test bowlers and all-rounders in the latest ICC Men's Test Player Rankings. His rise follows a standout performance featuring a score of 85 and six total wickets during South Africa's innings-and-31-run victory over Australia in their ICC World Test Championship series. Jansen is the first South African to lead the Test all-rounder rankings since Vernon Philander in 2014.

Several other players made notable moves across formats in the ICC updates. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma climbed to a career-best second in Test batting, while India opener Abhishek Sharma regained the No. 1 spot in T20I batting rankings after a 35-ball century against New Zealand. England batters Ben Duckett and Harry Brook also made gains inside the top ten of the ODI batting rankings.
