Backed in to open the batting for the Brisbane Heat for a second season, Charli Knott is unlocking the key to success…

Brisbane Heat opener Charli Knott credited a shift in mindset for her breakthrough form after striking her maiden Big Bash century on Thursday at Drummoyne Oval. The 23-year-old scored 104 runs off 61 balls, having reached her hundred off just 56 deliveries. Her performance made her the third-youngest player to score a WBBL hundred and the first to achieve the feat without having played senior international cricket.
Knott's innings helped the Brisbane Heat snap a 706-day WBBL win drought, marking their first victory since the WBBL|10 Challenger final. The knock also moved Knott to 177 runs across three matches in WBBL|12, earning her the BKT Golden Cap as the competition's leading run-scorer after she struggled in the role during the previous season.
