Pat Cummins backs flexibility in the batting lineup after Matt Renshaw's strong performance in the first Test against South Africa.
Australia captain Pat Cummins has stated that the team remains open to adjusting its batting lineup for upcoming Tests against South Africa. The tactical flexibility comes following Australia's 214-run victory in the first Test in Durban, where the squad demonstrated significant depth across multiple positions.
Matt Renshaw earned Player of the Match honors after scoring 190 and 82 batting at number five, while Nic Maddinson opened in place of the injured Cameron Green. Cummins noted that while Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith remain settled at three and four, having multiple versatile players allows the team to adapt based on pitch conditions.
