Vics snap winless streak in a thriller after Sutherland ton

Victoria ended a Women's National Cricket League winless streak by defeating South Australia by two wickets under lights at Junction Oval. Annabel Sutherland struck 107 off 96 balls and Georgia Wareham added 88 in a 164-run fourth-wicket stand to set up the chase. Sophie Day hit the winning runs via a reverse sweep with three balls to spare as Victoria successfully pursued South Australia's total of 7-290.

Earlier, South Australia's Tahlia McGrath scored 154 off 137 deliveries and partnered with captain Jemma Barsby, who scored 50, to rescue their side from 5-97. McGrath also claimed 2-55 with the ball, while Megan Schutt took 2-49, but quick cameos from Kim Garth and Molly Strano guided Victoria home.
