Leg-spinner has evolved into one of Australia's most valuable T20 players in recent years, and she's continuing to add to her game

Australian allrounder Georgia Wareham has expanded her role in international T20 cricket by emerging as an effective death bowler. Bowling the 20th over for just the fourth time in her 83-game T20 international career, the leg-spinner conceded only seven runs and zero boundaries during Australia's opening T20I victory against New Zealand at North Sydney Oval.
Wareham explained that she approached the final over like a pace bowler, focusing on executing yorkers to counter short boundaries. Following an impactful T20 World Cup campaign, Australia is developing new death-bowling options to replace previous veterans, with Wareham embracing greater tactical responsibility ahead of the second T20I.
