The T20 World Cup-winners have a schedule crunch to deal with as well as a competitive White Ferns outfit

Australia women's head coach Shelley Nitschke highlighted the importance of the upcoming three-game T20I series against New Zealand in Sydney, describing it as Australia's final international T20 preparation before the inaugural T20 Champions Trophy in India next February. With the ICC bringing the tournament forward, Australia faces a challenging schedule and will rely heavily on individual player preparations across domestic competitions.
Following the New Zealand series, Australian players will compete in WBBL|12, a tour of Sri Lanka for three ODIs, and the Women's Premier League in India. Nitschke noted that competing against a new-look White Ferns squad led by Melie Kerr provides a valuable competitive test as Australia targets further growth.
