The Kerala government on Saturday allotted the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi to Kerala Blasters FC for their home matches in the 2026-27 Indian Super League (ISL) season at a rent of Rs 3.5 lakh per match.
The Kerala government has officially allotted the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi to Kerala Blasters FC for their 2026-27 Indian Super League home matches. The Local Self Government Department approved a rental rate of Rs 3.5 lakh per match, alongside a fixed security deposit of Rs 25 lakh, citing the club's role in promoting football and youth sports across the state.
The announcement comes right before the Blasters host Mumbai City FC on Sunday, looking to rebound from a 4-1 loss to NorthEast United FC. Head coach Ashley Westwood stated that despite early defensive mistakes and a short pre-season, the team will continue to focus on an attacking, aggressive style of play.
