Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were missing from former India batter Ajinkya Rahane's all-time India Test XI, which features only players he has played alongside in international or domestic cricket.
Former India batter Ajinkya Rahane omitted Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from his all-time India Test XI, choosing only players he featured alongside during his career. Rahane named MS Dhoni as captain and wicketkeeper, noting Dhoni was his first international captain. The top order includes Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Rahul Dravid, and Sachin Tendulkar, with Rahane positioning himself at number five.
The bowling unit features all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, supported by seamers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, and Ishant Sharma. Rahane announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in July, concluding his Test career with 5,077 runs across 85 matches.
