Indian para-shooters have alleged corruption, extortion, and manipulation in the selection process for the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Para Asian Games. In a representation to the Sports Authority of India, the athletes claimed they were coerced into paying kickbacks of 20 percent of their government cash awards to secure national team selection. Shooter Sandeep Kumar further criticized arbitrary decisions, noting lower-ranked competitors were picked ahead of top performers.

Paralympic Committee of India president Devendra Jhajharia denied all accusations, stating the selection process followed official guidelines and was entirely fair.
