Services’ captain has had his scores kept off the board since Covid. His unbeaten 111 took his side from 27 for three to 266…

Services captain Rajat Paliwal scored an unbeaten 111 against Delhi in the Ranji Trophy, learning he had reached his century only through the opposition's applause. Paliwal, who entered with Services struggling at 27 for three, guided his team to a total of 266 all out at Palam's Airforce Complex Ground. The 34-year-old keeps his individual scores off the stadium scoreboard to maintain focus on the match.
The century marks Paliwal's 21st first-class hundred and his first Ranji Trophy ton in two years. For Delhi, 21-year-old left-arm spinner Aman Chaudhary stood out by taking four wickets for 79 runs in just his second senior fixture.
