Rishabh Pant is scheduled to undergo a match simulation fitness test at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on November 9 to determine his availability for India's upcoming two-Test series in New Zealand. Pant has been recovering from a side strain and recently began light cricket training. The CoE sent an email update to team management regarding Pant, alongside updates on Prasidh Krishna and Harshit Rana.
If cleared following the test, Pant will immediately travel to New Zealand for the series starting November 19. If he is not cleared for the Tests, Pant has informed DDCA president Rohan Jaitley that he will play domestic cricket for Delhi, starting with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on November 14.
